Why do you suppose.....
I think I have an addiction.....
I have started a bad habit...I am afraid. I can't sleep at night until I have played Mahjong and Spider Solitaire....not only do I need to play them....I have to win at least once before I can lay it to rest for the night. Last night I stayed up studying for a test...a bit later than I should have so I decided this has got to stop..I have way more important things to do with my time than play Mahjong.....like sleep. So I decided to cut myself off of the games....ugh! I tossed and I turned....grunted and sighed....kicked the sheets this way and that until finally I gave in....I had to. Of course, I justified it as a way of clearing my head much like and alcoholic would say....I just have to have this glass of Vodka then I can relax for the day. It is an addiction....I knew it! What would they call me a Mahjongaholic?..... What will the neighbors think? Side note...to any of my professors that may be reading this....I do my study time first ;).....I do not Mahjong and drive...Nor do I Mahjong at work....oh no!...I just had a horrid thought....Is Mahjong a gateway game.....oooHHHH Boy!

How Hard could it be!!???!!!
I have moved several times in my life...and those of you who know me, know that I make friends pretty easily. It seems that as soon as I find a good healthy circle of friends (I have to say healthy because those of you who have moved to a new neighborhood know that just when you think you really like the lady a few doors down she turns out to be crazy...ya know the type...the more you get to know her the more you wish you hadn't)...well anyway just as you build your circle it is time to move. Inevitably, with the best intentions..mind you, we promise to keep in touch with this wonderful dynamic group of people.....and we don't. Sure we call for a couple of months....then once a year...then on occasional holidays until you forget to transfer all the phone numbers to your new cell phone or address book. Come on ladies.....you know what I'm talking about here.....admit it. Well I got good news and bad news...technology has made it so much easier to keep in touch with the great friends of the past and harder to run from the crazy lady you thought you finally escaped. She can find you on myspace or facebook if not by searches, then by seeing your smiling mug on a good friends page. Hence the turtles on my profile. I must take a moment to clarify something..please bear with me....my very good friend Andrea...you know who you are....being able to keep in touch with you via internet has been, truly, great. Now that Andrea doesn't think she is the crazy lady I was trying to avoid, I will continue. Actually it is because of Andrea that I write this post. Why is it that we let our friends slip away into that black hole of lost faces and numbers? How hard could it be just to drop a line via internet or OMG, by phone...hey, we still use those right? Ya..ya.. I have heard and have used the same old excuses...."it's long distance"....uh.. ya.. ok.. who pays long distance charges these days...."well I just don't have time to get into a long conversation"...bite the bullet have the conversation then call more often like when you have a few minutes before going to the grocery store or something!...anything!.. just to stay in touch... and my favorite....."oh, I don't want to email it is so impersonal"...blah...blah..blah....well poppy!... cock! Every time I read an email from my friend Andrea I can hear her voice and visualize her facial expressions....don't deny it.....you gals out there do the same thing. Turns out its not that hard...... ;)

Ever had this happen?????
So what we have here is a conundrum...... kinda like the moment when two, sometimes three bags of groceries, a purse, an umbrella and car keys have impaired the use of the arms and hands.....then by the some small miracle the pinky finger unlatches the car door, only to find that the whole juggling act is sabotaged by another car parked so close that it would be impossible even for Gumby to get in the car....and letting go of the door is not an option because that would dent the sabotor and chip the paint of one's own car. Please tell me I'm not alone with this......Which item should the contortionist put on the ground to shuffle the remaining items in the car? Not the purse....that risking the loss of something valuable like MONEY and IDENTITY....but would you really want to be the one who put the groceries down so that the canned goods would most likely (with my luck) roll down the parking lot....I would look pretty funny chasing cans but it would be better than suffering through Wal-Mart again! There is no way one would put down the car keys because they land in two places.....under the car and inbetween the console and the seat! Everyone knows the umbrella would blow away.....eh...let it go it only rains in Texas once every 100 days anyway, right. Oh and two weeks in March. Hmmmm......I wonder if we were training for this when we were encouraged to play twister as kids.----parents can be sneaky.

Don't solve it; validate it!
Women face many obstacles in the world...I know we have all heard this before. The obstacles range from power struggles at work to getting roped into to paying higher prices for tires. As a woman, I get tired hearing the same complaints regurgitated over and over again. That is what men would call nagging, right, even though the problem originating the complaint has not been resolved. There are times however, when I don't necessarily want the problem resolved; I just want some validation or to know I am not alone.
